What do you mean "becoming"? Jesse Jackson is a self-serving race hustler whose top priority has been to bring prestige and wealth to himself and his family through the "civil rights" causes he pursues. This is nothing new. This is old hat. He wiped Dr. King's blood on his shirt back in the late 60's and then went around telling everyone how MLK had died in his arms in front of the Memphis motel rooms where they were staying. This is not some recent revelation. His shakedown of the Anheuser Busch company is yesterday's headlines as well. When a boycott was being lead against said company about their lack of diversity in management, his solution was to have them give two very lucrative distributorships to his sons. Becoming? You've got to be kidding! The difference separating Martin Luther King and Jesse Jackson is the same difference that exists between chicken salad and chicken sh--. Perhaps the best thing that can be said about the reverend is that he is not Louis Farrakhan.

Becoming a sad, pathetic caricature. . .was this really the man who worked with Dr. King? King surely didn't believe in the death penalty- but King wouldn't have kissed the ass of a convicted murderer and creator of a violent gang. . .a shameful, disgraceful moment. . .I guess Jesse doesn't care much for the hard-working Chinese immigrants that were killed. . .sepratist, racist attitude indeed. . .

Most notably one of the protesters in favor of commuting Crips leader Tookie Williams sentence in California;Tookie shoulda done a drive-by shooting at Jesse's house.

I wouldn't describe the Reverend Jackson so much as polarizing as I would pompous, profiteering, patronizing, pushy, and pseudo-plebian. How about part-time parent?

Give his race a bad name and a bad reputation. A very racist individual who is a political lightning rod.

tboneya, your statement about african americans is so generalizing, who do you think is padding his pockets, whites. Oh and by the way blacks have not chosen him as a leader he is a self-appointed leader of his own dull little click, millions of blacks don't even know who he is.

if i took jesse seriously he might be seen as more polarizing. a very mediocre, highly overrated, minor figure.
