When did this traitorous, moronic waste of skin becaome a politician?

Bea Arthur is more polarizing that Jane Fonda now-a-days.

Doesn't belong on this list. Look for 'untalented descendants of real stars'. . .

Just mentioning her name, will get some going on a endless rant.

Everbody loves this politician. She makes those terrific aerobics videos, does the occassional romantic-comdedy and is quite in touch with her constituents. The only problem is that she seems to spend a little too much time on vacation in Hollywood and not enough time doing the people's work in Washington D.C.. There's rumor that she and Charlton Heston will soon be coming together on a bipartisan "Bimbo and Bullets" spending bill. It may be fillibustered by the "gang of four" though: Alec Baldwin, Sean Penn, Toby Keith and Kelsey Grammer. Cooler heads should prevail.

She was very polarizing in the sixties even though she wasn't a politician. I keep a warm spot in my heart for her when I saw her in the buff in "Old Gringo" in 1989. I'm sure that gravity has exacted a toll on Jane since then, but she still is a looker. (You have to be patient with me. She is about my age!)

Fonda literally kissed up to the Viet-cong during the war, and now she's treated like someone who has an opinion. In fact, she's more known for that than any for any of her other films. In my view, she was just plain inexperienced. I understand why Vietnam vets hold it against her. She allowed herself to be used as a pawn for their propaganda machine, and really, naiveté isn't an excuse.

Hanoi Jane will always be a polarizing person to those who know the Vietnam war. For this generation, that note in history has faded as much as she has.

First of all, she's not a politician, and second of all, she polarizes only those of us who despise her Vietnam-era antics. I can't top, but agree with, Eschew's comments. All of this lets be nice crap that goes on these days about how this country is so great because we let people like Hanoi Jane engage in free speech and political alternative irritates me beyond words. Maybe she needed a reality check in the form a a size 10 combat boot planted firmly up her ass somewhere along the line, or maybe she needed more effective parental guidance, or maybe she had too much money, or Lord knows what else. Yeah, she polarizes some of us, to be sure.

Failing to try her for treason in 1972, upon her return to the US from Hanoi, was a big mistake. Laws are laws, and there is a federal statute regarding treasonous and seditious acts, and she should have been given a fair trial, as happened numerous times during both World Wars I and II. She must have benefitted from the distraction of Watergate, but whatever the reason, many military personnel (and patriotic Americans) still despise this woman's activities. She is still a symbol of the betrayal of America by the Hollywood left and many avid participants of the Anti-War Movement. Read more, type Hanoi Jane into any search engine, see if your blood doesn't boil.

still detested by many americans after her anti-american activities during the vietnam war. my ex-girlfriend's dad still refers to her as hanoi jane, and refuses to watch her movies.
