This place takes forever! And the food is second rate at best. Do yourself a favor and go to Dragonfly if you want sushi. Or Matsuri.

Though it wasn't so bad that I'd throw a fit, my one experience here was the worst experience at a sushi joint. ATMOSPHERE: 4/5. Really loud music. Very trendy. I typically don't go for trendy, but I thought the little light-box tables were kinda cute, at least. The Bento Cafe also offers outdoor seating for those nice days. Good call. SERVICE: 2/5. They really don't "serve" you, much after handing you your meal, so I can't really fairly rate them on "service". They were nice and all. But, this is the kind of place where you place your order at the register, pay first, and they hand you a cup to get your own refills. Not that that's a bad thing, but I can't really rate them on service that way. FOOD QUALITY: 1.5/5. Well, I didn't get food poisoning or anything, but the food wasn't all that great. The sushi was dry; the imitation crab meat and the rice in the California roll was just really dry. Like it was premade and put in the 'frige or something. The other fish meat wasn't very flavorful at all. My husband complained that the meat was "mushy" in his rolls. We ordered the "spicy seafood soup"; with shrimp, scallops, noodles, and more, you'd think it'd be a very flavorful meal. It wasn't. It was all texture and no flavor. The little bit of flavor was a very weak "spice" in the broth. It wasn't that impressive. PRICE: 3/5. Well, it's inexpensive. But, it's clearly a case of "you get what you pay for". OVERALL: . . . I think there's a reason why they want you to pay and tip before you get your meal. I'd never skip out on a bill, but I can see where they might be a bit concerned if someone did. Well, I always say that trying out a new place is always worth it, just so you know if it's good or not. At least I know that this isn't a place I want to come back to.
