We need more people like him today....people that refuse to ignore the injustices in our world.

Simon had an ego the size of Kansas, Simon made sure you remembered his name in the papers and in front of the camera- but no one can deny his body of work. A dedicated trailblazer to say the least. . .sad to see him go. . .

Pretty bloody minded guy. And he had cause to be. I think the world could use a few more like him.

His is an incredible story of survival. His obsession with seeking justice and punishment for the evildoers guilty of so incredibly many atrocities is understandable and worthy of praise. How sad for mankind, that his life's work was necessary and so justified. When we say (or hear) never again, this man's tireless pursuit of justice and its cause should be remembered. Otherwise, those who refuse to learn from history are doomed to repeat it. (I wish I remembered who said that, he was a pretty smart guy) I won't miss him in death, as he was not a prominent person to most of us. But, having truly dedicated his life to fighting the good fight, may he now rest in peace.

Simon Wiesenthal died today at age 96. He was a Holocaust survivor who dedicated his life after WWII to hunting down ex-Nazis who had committed war crimes. He had an amazing desire to seek justice for the wrongs that had been committed under Nazi rule, and fought the rest of his life to ensure that people would not forget the Holocaust. He was a person of strong convictions who overcame much in his lifetime. It is sad to see that the Holocaust survivors will not be with us for much longer. What they lived through was horrific, and teaches a valuable lesson about what hatred and evil can do to our world.
