Well, Moosekarloff has it partly right- Scarborough is presented as a conservative commentator, whether he's a rah-rah conservative apologist is up to questioning. In any case, Scarborough isn't a reporter but he has his head in the right place- no pun intended...

He's not presented as an objective journalist: he's presented, and quite rightly, as a rah-rah conservative apologist and spin doctor. He's not even a pundit, since his so-called analyses are so lacking in balanced fact, defendable example, intelligent synthesis and cogent reasoning. Whenever this dork opens his mouth, you can expect the same old, tired, dishonest, disingenuous, predictable verbal diahrrea that is called conservative ideology. Wasn't this guy forced to resign from Congress because he couldn't keep his schwank in his pants? Funny how a darling of the Clinton-haters was canned for engaging in the same kind of conduct Mud Bubba was famous for, only in a more egregious manner. And wasn't a woman found dead in Scarborough's office? I heard something about that and tried to research it, but it appears to be a real hush-hush situation. What was that all about? What were the facts of this incident? This guy doesn't come across as objective: rather, he comes across as swarmy, creepy, untrustworthy, devious, shady. Perfect qualities for a rightwing spokesman and propagandist.

I don't really think Joe Scarborough portrays himself as anything other than conservative. He is pretty open with that. No sleight of hand going on here.

A conservative who is upfront about where he stands. Not covering up a hidden bias.
