 | callitdowntheline75 (51) 08/16/2005 | Is there any question that Helen Thomas is a biased reporter? As much as she criticizes Republican administration after Republican administration, Thomas seems to be mute when it comes to Democratic ones. To pass her off as being an objective media personality is extremely insulting to the viewing public who prefer to be informed INSTEAD of being told what they ought to think. Moreover, Thomas seems to think she is still a relevant, objective voice in the media (which is a joke). But in reality, she seems to be an angry, spiteful woman who uses her emeritus status to launch verbal assaults against anyone she disagrees with (mainly conservatives).

 | Solenoid DH (19) 12/02/2004 | But is this cranky woman really portrayed as objective??? Read what Eschew Obfuscation wrote (the line that starts, If a conservative reporter acted with the selective dissent she has shown...) - I can't put it any better than that. I think this was the lady who once caused Ronald Reagan to utter one of his famous one-liners. She pretended to be asking him a question during a press conferece, but in reality she was scolding, insulting, and practically hollering at the poor guy. When she got through, Reagan just smiled and said, Now how can you say things like that about a sweet old man like me?

 | EschewObfuscation (61) 12/02/2004 | She's certainly the most biased reporter in the White House press corps. Her blatantly obvious love for Kennedy, Johnson and Clinton (not so much for Carter) and deep, unabashed hatred for Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, Gerald Ford, Richard Nixon and particularly for George W. Bush is truly shameful behavior for a journalist. Tass would have fired her, al Jazeera would be saying, Oh, come on! If a conservative reporter acted with the selective dissent she has shown over the years, the outrage would be cacophonous.
