What I can't stand most about his bias is that may tax dollars subsidize his shows.

Again, not a news anchor, so that needs to be taken into consideration. However, he presents himself as balanced when he is not.

Bill Moyers should not even be on this list because it is assumed that the reporters mentioned consider themselves to be objective but have a hidden agenda. Bill Moyers' left leaning ideology makes any semblance to objectivity, laughable. On 3/17/03 Moyers talked about people wearing American flag lapel pins and said When I see flags sprouting on official lapels, I think of the time in China when I saw Mao's little Red Book on every official's desk, omnipresent and unread. In 2001 he built a show around a memo by a single chemical company, B.F. Goodrich. The memo stated that their product, vinyl chloride, which is used in making plastics is going to produce rather appreciable injury to full time workers. His point was to show that the chemical industry does not care for the safety of it's employees. What Moyers did not tell his viewers was that the injury identified at the time was only to worker's hands, and that Goodrich immediately took the reasonable steps of reducing worker exposure in general, and made it mandatory that workers wear gloves. Another thing that Moyers failed to mention was that the memo was from 1959 and did not reflect current industry practices. On November 8, 2002 after Republicans won many mid term elections Moyers stated that Republicans are about to use the power of the state to enforce their radical ideology, imperialism and Bush led oligarchy. He warned that the government is united behind a right wing agenda. That agenda, Moyers said includes the power of the state to force pregnant women to surrender control over their own lives, transferring wealth from working people to the rich and giving corporations a free hand to eviscerate the enviornment. I do not recall any promise or effort by President Bush to do anything to limit abortion, cut taxes any further for those who pay them, or eliminate the EPA. I'd also like to know how wealth can be transferred from working people to the rich if, in Moyer's twisted world, working people don't have any money in the first place. As for being objective, Moyers told Texas Monthly in June 2004 that objectivity can sometimes be a blinder. He also said in the same interview that It's a journalist's job to tell the viewers or the readers what he has come to think about what they see as only data and information. In other words, Bill Moyers feels that the average American (that's you and me) is too stupid to figure out what is going on for ourselves, and he is not satisfied until he delivers the truth behind the news which, of course, only Bill Moyers and the others who are enlightened, are capable of discovering. Views such as those held by Mr Moyers should be on the editorial page and by passing himself off as a journalist he disgraces the profession of journalism. PBS, which through the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, extracts federal tax dollars from all taxpayers in part, to fund this kind of left wing nonsense from Bill Moyers.
