Christ has nothing to do with that pagan tree, It should be called a holiday tree, or pagan tree. It was Christ back there in the old test that called the way of the heathen VAIN! see Jeremiah 10, that includes your ridiculous tree.

The tree was a German tradition that came to America with the heavy German immigration in the 19th century. Who cares what its orgin is? What is Christmas without a tree. If we worry about pagan origins of our traditions, we would celebrate nothing.
