You have to remember that the producers want to create something that you will continue to watch. If you check out the CBS site where there is additional footage, you'll see some interview with that family where the children are not rude. The parents have everything to do with how their children treat them - it's up to them. No doubt, the older one is rude to his mother, but you can see in the progression of this show, that he is gaining respect for his parents. Pray for them rather than beat them down!

I guess there must be something wrong with me. I actually like watching these morons argue.

wow, talk a about a pathetic excuse for a family. The mom and dad are fine, as is the oldest brother. But that younger one, brian..what a whiny, feminine little brat. any guy who makes his mother cry has to be gay. i bet he does everyhting like a girl: i bet he braids his hair and wears makeup. i even bet he is a bad driver, i bet he craches his car alot just like girls do.

They don't work together at all. They don't argue, they insult. The father and mother are physically weak, and the boys are... scumbags. The father is doing the wise thing and keeping quiet, lest he suffer the wrath of his two sons. How they got in 6th, I may never know. Dumb luck, I'm sure.

Wow, Talk about scumbags. The children, both of them are absolutly disgusting and disrespectful. To talk to your parents like that is unforgivable. I feel sorry for both parents but especially Tony. As a European currently living in NY watching those kids has definatly convinced me to go back to Europe when i decide to have kids. There is no way i could raise kids in this country. As Italians, focused on family etc. to treat your parents like that is beyond horrible. I just felt like i had to search this family on google and see what people had to say. Those kids should be ashamed of themselves. And then to make the excuse of "fun loving family, that bickers, but ultimatly has each others backs". What a farce. The ma was nearly reduced to tears in the first episode and you could see the pain in the fathers eyes. I read online that the younger kid is an honour student, which is a great achievment, even here in america where the education is so bad, but still it must mean that the kid is intelligent. I just hope that he looks at these episodes and realises that he should treat his ma with respect. She is not embarassing at all, himself and his brother are. She may be older and not in the best shape of her life but in fairness she seems like a great lady. As for the older brother, i think he is probably beyond help, scumbag through and through. I suspect he'll end up raising little yank scumbags of his own. I have never written anything online before and i have to actually sign up to post this message but to be honest i just had to. I have never seen anything like that in my life. Americans surprise me everyday. Good luck Tony, I hop you do well in the race even though its truely painful to watch!

Good grief. Those kids need to learn when to shut up. THey're really disrespectful to their parents, always thinking they know everything. I almost pity the mother for getting all the backlash from them.

Quite the dysfunctional bunch. Screaming, bickering, insults, and sharp elbowing. And that's just the mother. The sons give back as well as they receive, however, bringing the mother to tears at one point. Dad wisely keeps to himself. An extra star for apparently being the only group that recognized Kevin and Drew from TAR-1 at the hot dog stand in NYC.
