Names are useful until you get to a stage when you make up names for eachother. I was Moose for awhile and I'm only 170 lbs today and weighed less when I got the name. I'll let the masses speculate on how I got such a name...

This one isn't a deal-breaker for me. When people (my mom in particular) use my name when they're talking to me, they're usually angry at something I did. Salespeople are trained to use names a lot, aren't they?

When someone uses your name, either in a conversation or in writing, it makes you feel special. I would definitely consider someone who never uses my name to be either, one they cannot remember it, or two they are dating several others and do not want to confuse their women. Either way, it is a good indication that I am not number one in their thoughts.
