ORIGINAL COMMENT 10/3/05: I was in Boston over the past week-end, pulling every string I knew to try to get into Fenway Saturday afternoon, the day the Yankees clinched the AL East. My wife and I had to settle for a seat at "Game On!" a sports bar in the basement of Fenway. A word of advice: do as I say, not as I do, and don't wear a Yankees hat around Boston, particularly when the Yankees are in town, particularly when the Yankees are in the process of clinching the AL East. Only a few of us will recognize the audacity of this: as I was eating my lunch, in the raucous bar/restaurant in the middle of Red Sox Nation, after buying a round for the raucous table (dressed in RED) next to us, I happened to look over at one of the few (way less than 1%) fellow Yankee fans coming down the stairs. As he turned away from me, my jaw dropped. It had just been a long time since I'd seen Bucky Dent's #20 jersey and I wasn't prepared to see it just then. That took some real cajones. UPDATE: One more thing: White Sox in 4. Good pitching always beats good hitting in a short series. POST SERIES UPDATE: I meant to predict a Chisox sweep. Something about good pitching?

Red Sox in 4. Better offense, more experience and cooler heads should be the difference.

Red Sox in 5. This is the series that I'm looking forward to the most. Ozzie Guillen will be biting his nails and crossing his fingers to see if his ballclub can pull it out. I'm rooting for the Sox (white) to win, but they probably won't come close because they don't have enough playoff experience.
