I can really think of few things that can be worse than being locked up as if you are an animal.

Abichara: In general, that may be true, but you have to remember that the crime that the person committed, might have been against his/her family or friends. My step-father was in jail because *I* put him there; certainly wasn't hurtful towards my well-being to have him there.

This is a bad experience, especially for the family or love ones of those who are in prison.

I think it would be emotionally hurtful to be wrongfully incarcerated, but if I was guilty of a crime I would try to take it like a man. Now what would be really hurtful is if while I was in jail I was forced to take it like a woman. That would be hurtful both emotionally and physically.
