There's worse things I can think of, but it's certainly memorable. . .but friends will come and go during stages of your life. . .treasure your friends, but understand and accept that life changes will (in most cases) change or eliminate certain relationships/friendships. . .thus, you should treasure the time you have with them right now. . .

Betrayal is one of those words open to endless interpretation. Ask a half dozen people and you'll get six different responses. It's easy to confuse things like ignorance or lack of good sense or manners with something more sinister.. like betrayal. I suppose my reaction would depend on the friend and on the severity of the perceived betrayal.

My best friend and my cousin put their heads together and pretty much killed a piece of me. It happened over ten years ago, the story is very long and isn't worth repeating and I let past stay in the past. I was too hurt for too long. Letting go and forgiving can feel so uplifting and freeing and gives you strength and power to heal and move on.

it can be very hurtful especially if this is someone you have known for quite awhile. a person I let myself get close to and thought I could trust. then they do some awful thing to betray me. like if i did not see it coming and they blindside me. It makes it harder to let someone get close. if a person does something terrible to me.

This happened to me four years ago, and I still don't like to talk about it because I know it will just bring back too much pain if I start remembering all the details. Therefore I won't tell my story here, but it was one of the most gut-wrenching, nerve-racking experiences of my life- I haven't seen hide or hair of my friend in about a year and a half, and frankly I don't care to see him again anyway.

This is an awful thing because actually all parties are hurt by this in the long run.

they betray your trust and it leaves you feeling stupid and violated.
