03/16/2006 | It shouldn't be something that you've thickened your skin to, but it's happened so much in my family (mostly in the past), that I'm usually not the least bit shocked when it happens again. Originally, I always took it hard though, as I was in denial about how selfish these particular people were, I have since learned a few things.

10/04/2005 | I think betrayal of any kind by anybody is pretty awful. It can really make a person doubt themself, but it is important to remember that the betrayal was ultimately not in your control, and that it is better to move on.
