I do not have grandchilren but have seen how horrible it is to lose a grandchild from other people. to have someone so young die especially a kid. I imagine this would be devastating.

This is probably not as wrenching for the grandparent as would be the loss of a child; however, it is terrible. I have seen it many times in my life.
