The ultimate font of all data. Has all the information you need, although the graphics and site navigation need work.

I always keep NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) bookmarked. With so many hurricanes and tropical storms that affect my area this is an excellent source for fairly up to date information. There are storm trackers and satellite imagery that offer up to five-day probability forecasts. Also since I do sail once in a blue moon, the site offers electronic nautical charts for navigation in real time as well as hydrographic charts and tidal charts. Other things of interest are the over 40,000 photos from icebergs to coral reefs to remote countries of the world to historical photos of old fishing villages and into the clouds and beyond. A highly informative site that gives the top stories from the outcomes of passed storms and the impact they had on the environment with photos and aerial surveys to predictions as to the devastating effects that could occur from such storms with the use of hypothetical models. A very diverse site all around for keeping abreast of major weather conditions as well as the latest on science and research.
