06/11/2007 | Hmmm...in the case of those afflicted with antisocial personality disorder, many of whom end up in death row, perhaps it's a good thing for society at large, as well as themselves, to be put out of commission (since there's apparently no "cure" for that disorder).

10/07/2005 |  If beyond a resonable doubt someone kills someone for some reason other than self defense then why waste our money keeping them well fed and allow them to have luxuries that not even homeless people get. Warm room, food, books and such. Kill em off quickly because someone else will be right behind them soon. That goes for insane people that kill also. So what if your crazy, anyone that kills someone is crazy if you ask me. Like that movie Slingblade, they let him out and he kills a guy for being a woman beater and being mean to that kid. That was disturbing because the women was stupid for dating that guy and the guy was so drunk he wasn't even aware of what he was saying half the time but does that mean he should of been killed by a mentally disabled person with obvious killing tendencies in him. I'm not saying it's ok to get drunk and beat up people I'm saying that if your gonna not give the death penalty to obvious killers than they will kill again when given the chance no matter how smart or dumb they are.

10/06/2005 | I am against capital punishment in this country, because I feel we have a a prison system that is capable of containing serious offenders. I don't believe that the death sentence is a deterrent for people not to kill others, because most murders are irrational people anyway. I think the state sanctioned killing of an individual is a flaw in our government and I would like to see that fixed.

10/06/2005 | There would probably be a few instances were I would not apply the death penalty for premeditated murder, but for the most part this is almost as good a reason as any other on this list - An eye for an eye you know? - But in a perfect world I would want irrefutable DNA evidence linking the accused before sentencing them to death ( ironically, that in a perfect world there would be no murders ).

10/05/2005 | If there were some way to absolutely prove (which, unless you've done shot random people in a huge crowd and there were video cameras everywhere, it's pretty tough; it's happened before) guilt in this, then it should be considered if others are at risk of becoming victims of this person. Some murders in prison say that, if they're let out, they'd do it again. Put them away for life, apart from all the other criminals so that they can't influence the rest of them, and under the tightest of security. An "eye for an eye" might not be the best option, but it is still top priority to protect the existing public from these people.
