It appears that the USA is going to have a problem in future years with the increasing illegal immigration descendants if they are not assimilated into our Anglo-American political system and political culture.

There should be more assimilation efforts on everybody's part. . .problem is, all Americans are so damn obsessed with their own way of life. . .

The way it is happening nowadays I believe so. Szinhonshu revealed an interesting outsider point of view that is along the lines of how I feel. There are other countries starting to take the initiative to make public their need for foreighners to assimilate more. We are the "wussies" in the background who are not. Lets face it, America is not really America the way I looked at it 20 years ago. Not at all. And it is mainly because we feel this need to be the perfect "ethnic mother" so to speak to everyone who leaves their own country to come to ours. Letting all in and trying to accomodate their traditions and culture while tossing our own to the side. If we dont change our outlook soon, we will be sorry.

This may sound overly naive or idealistic, but I am more interested in people who find commonalities and acceptance of differences. I could do without extremists, dividers, and crackpots of any sort. Regardless of ideology, human beings appear to have a bizarre need to allow whackos to lead them, or maybe it's that the demands of leadership lead to cruelty and persecution. I haven't figured that out yet.

They're jerks, but not really a danger.

Not,really.I think Tim McVeigh may have had some connection to these types-but on average,I kinda think you gotta go out of your way to find them.

Such divisionary ideologies only weaken our nation, for when a people are divided by such hostilities we cannot properly defend ourselves from those who wish to destroy us. We are the United States, let's try to act that way.

According to former Colorado governor (and presidential candidate) Dick Lamm, this is one of the reasons America is in a state of decline. He believes multi-culturalism is a tool that is dividing us rather than causing us to think of ourselves as simply United States citizens.
