Very close indeed but I think Burns will lose his seat.

Conrad Burns is going to have a tough time holding on to his seat this year. Corruption in Washington has been one of the hot button issues this year, and Burns' connection with Jack Abramoff has been causing him plenty of trouble. Some polls have had him recently up to 10 points behind. Not a good sign.

Some people have Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania as the most vulnerable Republican in the Senate, but I disagree, I think he's a good closer who will make the race competitive by highlighting his accomplishments for the state of Pennsylvania, which would normally never vote for someone so conservative. So, that means that old man Burns is the most vulnerable Senate Republican. He's never really been that popular in the state--he was re-elected in 2000 by only 3 points, and will likely be thrown out this time.

Tester won the nomination. If gas doesn't drop, the war doesn't end, and Conrad himself doesn't catch Bin Laden, The Democrats win another seat!

This is starting to look interesting, what with Burns being tied heavy to Abramoff. Burns has dropped dramatically in the polls, and right now it's an even race with either Democratic challenger. Montana has also had some shades of blue in recent elections. May very well become a battleground state in 08.
