I enjoyed Frankenstein. I think I was about 12 at the time, so I was pleasantly surprised to find out that it was more than just a typical scary story. I suppose I'm not too surprised to see that it had been banned somewhere, as the subject matter is a bit gruesome. If a book deals with something unusual, it's probably been banned somewhere at some time.

Read this a few years ago. Very lengthy novel, but well told. Not for those who don't like the 19th century prose that tends to be very descriptive. A great tale of tragedy and woe.
