Canterbury Tales - Chaucer 5

I'm surprised the book-banner brigade could even read it, particularly in the original Middle English.

I assume at issue were the more scatalogical and ribald tales like the Miller's and the Reeve's. Hilarious stuff, but the blue-nosers wouldn't like them.

And now it's required reading? Interesting how times have changed. Understandable how it once was banned/cahllenged, though *I* liked the tales. I bought the book a few days ago for my personal collection.
