The Brockton Blockbuster! His legecy of toughness will last through the ages. He was not very big but he had a BIG punch because every one he threw was full force. He hardly ever jabbed. And he would just keep punching from the opening bell to the end of the round. He would've knocked mike tyson senseless, same with george foreman. Now Ali, but anyway Rocky is the hardest hitter of them all.

I've seen some videos of him hitting a heavy bag.And you know what he did hit hard but considering his small stature he didn't hit as hard as some of the other heavyweights out there like tyson and foreman. My personal view is that foreman was the hardest hitter of them all.Just have a look at some of his clips.

Was the great Rocky Marciano the hardest hitter in boxing history? Perhaps. But many other great fighters have been known to be fearsome punchers (such as Alexis Arguello, Mike Tyson, Earnie Shavers, Thomas Hearns and George Foreman). But considering the fact that the Brockton Blockbuster's punches were said to exert the same amount of force as an armor-piercing shell, it's quite difficult to say he was not the hardest puncher in boxing history. Fighters such as Archie Moore and Ezzard Charles would later atttest to Marciano's punching power (and his superhuman stamina), but nothing illustrated his fearsome punching power more than the night he landed his infamous Suzy-Q punch on the legendary Jersey Joe Walcott's jaw flush. Leaving Walcott's grotesquely limp form dangling by an arm on the middle ropes, Marciano not only won the world heavyweight title in style (a fight he was, up to that point, losing) but he forever secured his place as the most fearsome puncher of his era. (By the way, the famous picture taken the instant the punch landed shows its brutality, as Walcott's face was literally defaced.)

Pound for pound probably the hardest hitter to ever grace the ring. Rocky must've had a special relationship with physics to be able to generate the power that he did from such a relatively small frame. I'm surprised Walcott's nose didn't wind up on the other side of his face after the famous shot that he took from Marciano.

I think that a lot of today'a "big" heavyweights would see him as some kind of joke-but fighting him would be no joke for anybody.

Fearsome, unrelentless and, apparently, invulnerable. His perfect record as a pro gives testimony to his skills and talent. Archie Moore, who challenged with authority that merited recognition, was ill-fated to compete during the Marciano era.
