Probably the greatest fighter most folks have never heard of and certainly one of the best bantamweights ever. His hook to the liver would render most of his opponents useless. An incredible knockout percentage.

Carlos was one of my top handful of favorites;boxrec.coml ists his record slightly different at 66-4 with 63 ko's.One of the fights I missed was his fight with Alphonso Zamora-I think at the time-both guys had all wins by ko;in any case Zarate destroyed him.He was a 5'8'' 118 pounder-and just a beautiful-and very dangerous -fighter-to watch.
