For my money, the most complete boxer ever, pound for pound. Had a ferocious left hand and combined with his speed and smarts was the class of his, or any other era.

Robinson's kayo of a stronger and younger Gene Fullmer is still considered generally considered the one punch left hook kayo of all time.He is also generally considered the most complete fighter ever-and that includes punching power. One example-his first 160 lb. title reign ended when he was upset by the very awkward Randy Turpin;he was also losing the rematch until he exploded in the 10th round;he really exploded.

Was known to knock out his opponents while backpeddling! He probably could have been more of a knockout artist if he wanted to be, but I think that he enjoyed "the fight" too much.

A certain 'Hall of Famer' by any standards. It is no exaggeration to say that any Pantheon of the sport would have to make room for his name before that of any other. By jazz music standards, incongruous as it may seem, 'Sugar Ray' would be the 'John Coltrane' or the 'Louis Armstrong' (early Armstrong, of course) of boxing.
