This isn't pizza, this is greasy cardboard with red glop and wall-paper paste.

The upside is you get to eat it surrounded by the ambience of shrieking, hyper-active 10 year olds and constantly ringing video games.  Which is fine, if you're a shrieking, hyper-active 10 year old, but not so good for any non-comatose adult.

I've been here twice, some years ago, for birthday parties for one of my kids friends, and I will never attend again, under any circumstances, for any conceivable bribe or incentive.

I'm giving this a four because of the wonderful childhood memories in the early/mid '80s. I don't remember what the pizza was like (pizza was pizza to me back then), but they had all these fun games and programs for the kids during their birthday parties. I had a good time. I have no idea what it's like anymore.

Never go there NEVER!!

all i have to say is... IS THERE ANY OTHER FOOD/CHILD ENTERTAINMENT PLACE ?!?! NOOO! WHY? BECAUSE CEC KICKS THE CRAP OUT OF THEM EVERY YEAR IN EARNINGS, SO EVERYWHERE IS FORCED TO CLOSE DOWN. DAVE AND BUSTERS..HOW MANY OF THOSE ARE IN EXSISTANCE? MAIN EVENT?
BUT.. HOW MANY CEC?? A LOOOOOOOT. so...complain. but look at the earnings.
we've been open for yearsssss. and still GOING STRONG!

You're never too old to celebrate your birthday here. I celebrated my 18th at Chuck E. Cheese's.
They have a variety of games from classics like Ski-ball to arcade zombie shooting games. I really enjoy that.
I don't enjoy the prices and the service. It's really disorganized and slow. The birthday party area is really crowded. It makes having a birthday party there less enjoyable when you're sitting elbow-to-elbow with a mom taking care of her fussy kids at the next table over. Their prices are also pretty expensive, though if you get cupons it's not so bad.
Getting prizes is a lot harder now that they added the "ticket crunching" feature which counts out all of your tickets one-by-one, instead of just taking your tickets to to the counter and having them guesstimate how many you have. The better prizes are a lot more expensive, which is a let down.
The food is okay. The salads are good, but the pizza isn't the best.
Most kids would enjoy Chuck E. Cheese's, but it's just not the same to me. Then again, everything is different when you're younger.

You must be on some sort of DRUG to be anywhere NEAR a place like this with your child. Adults that take children to a place like Chuck E. Cheese's should be charged with felony child abuse. This place is terrible on so many levels. Number one ~ it's FILTHY. There isn't enough cleaning that can be done by their team of 16-18 year old staffs (the majority of them are this age) that can satisfy a "good" parent's expectations for having their children playing and eating intermittently. Second ~ it promotes uncivilized behavior in kids AND adults. Parents causing fights that require police response. Ridiculous. Kids thinking that it's perfectly normal to run around a restaurant, yell, play and show a total lack of care and concern for those around them. Try watching a kid in a sit down restaurant or buffet that is a regular at the local Chuck E. Cheese as well. You'll notice that they behave the same in both; like lunatics! Third ~ why in the HELL would someone claiming to be marketing the business to target kids have a liquor license. If this isn't a ghetto/trailor park tactic, I don't know what else is. These folks certainly know their market..... liquor, cheap food and armed guards.

You would NEVER catch my kids in a place like this. I don't know of anyone in my area that would have a party or play date at this sort of place. If they ever invited my sons, they would get a gift dropped off at the house and our regrets for not attending ~ we would be busy that day and everyday!

I rate this place a ZERO!!!

I've been there once or twice when I was in my late teens or early 20s. It was bad then and is worse now. Especially since this is the affordable party option for the ghetto/trailor crowds.

At first I thought CEC was a horrible place, loud, frantic, plain crazy.
Then I realized how much fun the kids are having and I started playing some games, too. All by sudden it seemed less noisy...(-:
The food in our CEC (Woodbridge, VA) is excellent (at least Pizza and salad bar, we haven't tried anything else so far). If you look out for coupons and offers you will find it's not that expensive, great for a rainy day. The staff is friendly.
The only downpoint are the gifts the kids can earn with their tickets, very cheap, disappointing...not worth saving poins up for.

I will really give this about a 2.5. I suppose it is a nice place for birthday parties for kids under 10.It is a miseralbe place for adults. Our local Chuckie Cheeses is too small for how many people they cram into this place. As a matter of fact I am surprised that the fire marshall has not closed the restaurant down since it is way too crowded. Everything is packed into this restaurant.It is very noisy for one thing I for one dread it when we get invited to a birthday party there. The food is not very good and expensive for what you get. The only reason i am even giving this a 2.5 is at least the little kids seem to like the place.   and the pizza is only average nothing to go there for.

Chuck e Cheese's needs to quit hiring immature kids to run the place. They have no patience with children and it's so obvious that they hate their jobs. If you want your kids to be treated like crap, then take them there otherwise stay away. Ecspecially the eastgate location.

I just recently took my daughter to Chuck E Cheese in Texas during the day time while the restaraunt was completely empty, at first I thought it was closed but walked in and they were serving. I thought, this is great it will give my daughter time to play games and the restaraunt won't be so loud. There were two small children I noticed running around but I didn't see any other adults supervising these children. I went ahead and let my daughter run a muck, watching her dance to the music and watching the robotic mouse talk and dance too. She thought it was wonderful until these one of the other small children who weren't supervised started pushing my two year old daughter for no reason. I asked the little girl to stop and not do that again. When I went to go get some more tokens for my daughter to put into her favorite game, I turned around to check on her, and the little girl was pushing my daughter and had pushed her the third time before I could say to stop that to her. The third push she had slammed my two year old into a metal chair so hard that my daughter's nose hit the metal part. When I got onto the little girl, the people who were running the restaraunt came out, one of the employees started asking me which one pushed my daughter, when I told her who, I knew that one of the little girls was her's and the other one who did the actual pushing belonged to the mananger. The manager asked her daughter why did she push my daughter, and of course the little girl had no reason and was told by her mother to apologize to my daughter. She's two, she doesn't understand the word sorry. The little girl said sorry, which she didn't mean anyway, I know she's little too, but I can't stand the forced sorry. The manager never apologized to me. Thats why I'm not ever going back to Chuck E. Cheese and the fact that the pizza tasted like cardboard with melted cheese on top. My daughter wouldn't even eat it and she loves pizza. We went home and ordered Papa John's.

Are parents that selfish that they think that something boring to them means they should not go? Stop complaining about the food it was meant for kids to enjoy the pizza.  It is for kids to enjoy, you parents don't like it well that is to bad.  Are you that selfish that you don't want your kids to have fun?  You complain about how it costs to much, I look for cheap things but it is your own d*** fault for buying their food, I don't buy their food.  In case you didn't know you don't have to buy their food in order for your kids to have fun.  Unless you want your kids to be bored and go crazy.  Well Chuck E Cheese is not bad, the skytubes have to many germs you don't have to allow your kids to go in their.  And eat before you go kids play more than they eat at Chuck E Cheese.  Well I love the place because for me it is free drinks and tokens are free and I eat before I go I don't pay for chuck e cheese anymore.  And you complaining parents spend way to much their well your kids should not have to suffer because of your mistake.

I am not going back to CEC in my area, Thousand Oaks. The employees are lazy in helping out customers on the customer, especially this fat guy named James. He did not do anything all night except watch us to see if we shared our son's lemonade drink which we didnt since we asked for see-thru cups for our just plain water. Same with the all you can sald bar. Nasty BIG James!!! He is obviously not being paid well enough that he can't do his job right. It was an empty place. I will make sure that everyone I know especially the number of people from Amgen will know what a lousy CEC this is and a waste of money for the kids, and very bad customer relations.

I used to take my grandchildren to Chuck E. Cheese's all of the time, but this past week when I took five of them, I got a large pizza, a small cheese pizza, 4 drinks, an Italian Sandwich, and 100 tokens for a total of $57.62!! I was absolutely amazed - plus they have done away with any "play" areas for toddlers and small children, and the floor is covered with games that cost tokens. I won't be taking any of my grandchildren back there, and I am "educating" everyone I run into on the high cost of CEC, and lack of play areas. I'd rather get each of them a Happy Meal someplace, and go to a park where they can play without token. I was horribly disappointed by the outrageous and inflated prices! Grandma Betty

I can't even give a rating to chuck e cheese. You don't have negitive stars. My daugther had her birthday party there and got PINK EYE 2 days later. Plus, was hospitalized with ROTA VIRUS by the end of the week. The Hospital said the timeing would bring in all back to chuck e cheese. I will NEVER go back there again!!!!!!!! They need to clean there games more often. Puts signs to remind parents to wash their childrens hand after going to the bath room. They put other at risk!!!!!!!

Before I typed up this up, I read your reviews, as I was more than slighly suprised. As a starcast member of Chuck E. Cheese, I work very as does everyone else I work with to make sure you have the best experience possible. Just this morning, I was in the store at 8 AM, after closing Kid Check last night, to roll out the dough and prep for the day. In fact, I only got out much later in the day. The store is cleaned from top to bottom every day, if your store is doing their job right. Everything is washed: the mazes; dispensers, ice machine, salad bar, everything. Me and a co-worker spent many hours today, washing and vacuuming the walls. That is, I did that after leading four birthdays. Chuck E. Cheese is a family concept and we strive to be the best in the business. For example, I can not think of many places that have a "Kid Check" which has prooven to be so successful. If you're CEC is doing their job, than that shoudn't be a problem. And sald bar is cleaned, re-stocked, and re-prepped every hour. Extra food is not used the next day. Not even in the salad bar. We use only the freshest ingrediants and are constantly trying to improve ourselves. Birthdays have gotten great reviews. The games are fun, but when so many children pound-as only children will- them than they will break as we attenpt to fix them with the greatest expediancy. We appreciate your diligence and we like hearing from you. I know I am just a starcast member, but as a member of the CEC community, if you have any complaints, about any CEC feel free to comment to me and I will do my best to make sure the right people do something about it. In the CEC atmospher, I wish you happy days.

~~~ Your starcast member.
Been there a couple of times when I was younger and have taken my own kids twice. Won't be going back anytime soon. I agree that it's a bit overpriced for what you get. I considered getting a salad but after looking at the salad bar I changed my mind. I paranoid about germs and the salad bar just looked disgusting like any and every body had been digging in it. I think they need to update some of the games and definitely come up with more stuff geared towards younger kids. The place is definitely out of control. Kids and parents alike running around like they've never seen civilization before. I actually saw some girls that looked about 10 running and screaming around in the toddler play area like a bunch of retards and weren't even concerned about the little kids trying to play. I made my 3 and 5 year old come out until they left. I even had an adult cut in front of us in line to cash in her tokens and then looked at me and my husband as if she were ready to fight if we said something. God it's not even that serious. I also had the same experience with the shoes and will never leave a pair of shoes in that thing again. My daughter had a black pair of new balance sneakers and some little boy that had the same shoes took hers. Good thing we noticed before he got too far because he was wearing them already. His were in much worse shape than hers and luckily we got him to take them off so we could check the size. Hers were a 12 and his were a 12 1/2. Seems like he should have noticed the difference.
I can understand how a lot of people can think CEC is not a very good place to go. I have been to a few others, such as springfield and kansas city, and quite honestly, they DO suck. They dont care. HOWEVER, I work at the CEC in Joplin, and I must say that ours is different. Everyday I go in there, I KNOW Im going to be screamed at, abused, cussed out, hit, kicked, and otherwise killed, just to serve our wonderful guests. I still go out of my way, as do most of my peers, to ensure that guests have the best time they possibly can. I dont know where you lot have been going, but a visit to my store will probably be a breath of fresh air. Yeah, I admit we have a couple of people who dont care about their job, and I would like to see them fired if they dont straighten up, but the rest of us do care, including the management. Sorry about the prices, folks, I cant help that and you can also thank inflation. Prices increase all the time. But please, dont take it out on me, Im trying.
im sorry, someone said that the games are overpriced?! how? the games are one token each. thats average of 25 cents a game... HOW IS THAT OVERPRICED?! tell me ONE other place that you can get your picture sketched for 25 cents?! Most malls charge $4 for the same thing! So yea, the food is over priced, but don't say the games are. and stop saying that employees don't want to work there and that they are rude. Come to the store I work at and see. We LOVE our jobs, we're always smiling and we give away sooo many toys to the kids. Give cec a break, its aimed at little children, so you may find the prizes crappy, but the children love it. Honestly though, do us a favor if youre going to complain, don't come at all... you'll just get the cast members upset and we don't get paid enough to deal with angry guests swearing at us.
CEC is a waste of time and money. you can throw your kds a far better pizza party, and save money while doing so. The food quality is not all that great. I agree that a big rat as a kid's eatery mascot is kind of creepy and can possibly send subliminals to kids that it's ok to see rodents in restaurants around their food. Disneyland's mascot was a cartoon first, and Mickey Mouse doesn't look nearly as creepy as CEC does. Bottom line is, you can still make your kids very very happy, and save significant money by avoiding CEC.
My daughter was brought to Chuck E. Cheese's as a reward. Unfortunately, we paid out more than just the game tokens! My daughter put her sneakers in the bin so she could use the "tunnels" and 45 minutes later they were gone from the bin! I have never had that problem at Mc D's! The manager would not give us compensation although this location had no disclaimers posted and acted disinterested. The manager also would not give us his full name! Yep, it would be hard to figure out after giving this information to his General Manager... I have complained to the corporate office by email, we will see what happens. Word of Warning, keep the kids shoes by your tables!! Better yet just go to McD's it better, cheaper and I have never had a problem with the employees!!
Ok, this is my rating. My kids would give it a 5, but they would give it a 5 even if they served deep fried goat liver...because the place is fun. The service is pretty good, they do parties well, and there are a lot of games to play. Yeah, sometimes they're out of order, but the staff at our Columbus location seems to be on the problems right away. If you're looking for good pizza only, then there are a lot of other places to go, but if you want to give your kids a good time, it works. Avoid it on the weekends, though!
Chuckie E. Cheeses does not use equipment to keep their establishment clean, if you will notice many places like DQ or some BK use Ultraviolet lights. It seems the managers at Chuckie don't know what these lights do, they kill bacteria and some virus, furthermore, it is dark in most of these stage shows, with dim lighting. Also if you will notice that some establishments have a blower when you come in the door not the chuckie...now if you had your choice to go to a restaurant that had a robotics mouse or UV lights which would you go to? Just take a look at the DPH web site in Richmond Va. the workers are not even alowed to ware Gloves or other personal protective equipment. Even if they have to handle body fluids. And you want these people to handle your food, wipe your table, and work on the ice maker several months back there was mold in the ice maker(DHP), this could have been stoped by UV lights, or seals in the ice maker.
It was supposed to be geared toward young kids and it is geared too much for older. My little ones are 5 and 3. We went today for a birthday party and it was packed. It seemed like the parents were worse than the kids. My little girls each won 7 tickets playing games for their age. There would be adults that would have 300-400 tickets cashing them in the receipt machine and when we FINALLY got our turn to put 7 tickets through the machine, my girls were so sad to see that they could not afford to buy anything. The lady at the counter let them pick from a 15 ticket shelf and they got a pack of Smarties candy. My heart broke for them. This may be something that cannot be easliy solved. When I was young, we would go to Show Biz Pizza, which was the same idea and it was all for the young kids. The parents did not hord the games and tickets because there were only things for the little ones. The parents can go to an arcade for the older games. I know that with a family it is hard to make all of the ages happy, but I think that it would be okay to have a place just for the younger ones. Maybe a separate prize counter for the 8 and under where their tickets counted for more. My girls get so excited for Chuckie Cheese and it is so sad to see them when we leave. The other children did not seem to be supervised so they would not share rides or take turns and the parents that were present were not much better. We stood in line for the drawing picture game (where you watch your picture being sketched) while a family of 5 took 15 different poses with each combination (dad and kid, dad and mom, mom and kid) My 1 year old was crying and they did not even consider that it was a busy day and there were others waiting for a turn. Some of these problems may be hard to fix. Maybe a sign saying that there is a 1 picture limit and then you have to get back into line. Your concept for a restaurant is great, I just think that you forgot the reason for the restaurant.
