A tasteful, delicate gold chain isn't a bad thing (for women). Huge, gaudy chains are tacky.

I don't have a problem with gold chains, but it is annoying when people wear their chains over top of their shirts and have them hanging down to their waist. That top of display of chains is too over the top for me.
