Mostly physically satisfying, but if it is really good food and the whole presentation, company and dining experience is special, then it has the potential to be very emotionally satisfying. Hopefully the mussles weren't tainted.

Not usually considering I eat more when I'm depressed, less when I'm sick, and next to nothing practically everyday. I'm surprised I'm not the size of a fricken rail. There's never anything good to eat at home.

No reason to take it to the extreme, but a base sense of happiness falls over me after every steak I eat.

Yes - but ultimately only in moderation. Otherwise it becomes just another way to hide from the world and slowly kill yourself.

NOthing better than a good meal or snack. And the good thing is that we get to do it again in a few hours!

If it is good food, then this is very satisfying. I feel so good after I've eaten. It energises me. I love the feeling of being full and love the taste.

Some. There's a reason why they're called "comfort foods", those meals that bring you back to your childhood. When I miss home, I'd try to make something resembling something my mom would make for me when I was a kid. I never get it right, but nothing can ever match my mom's cooking (for better or for worse).

there is something about a really terrific meal that can be satisfying. Especially if it is a treat that I do not get too often. Going to a restaurant for meal I do not have to cook. that is satisfying for me.

Food is satisfying, but in moderation. Overeating can lead to negative feelings about myself, but if I have a great meal, it definitely makes me feel happier.

Same as with alcohol. It tastes good and I really like it but I wouldn't go so far as to call it emotionally satisfying.
