Considering I wrote every member on the judiciary committee, signed numerous petitions, letters to the White House, and the National Republican Committee simply because I was so frustrated, it should be assumed that most congressional republicans were disappointed in the pick as well. Bush nearly cut the legs from under the primary argument conservatives make- that we support highly qualified judicial originalists to the bench. This forces the libs to make the ridiculous argument that they aren't qualified on ideological grounds when in fact it is they who support policy initiatives from the bench. Bush did himself and the Republican party a HUGE favor by having her withdraw.

I wrote this and now, several days later, don't know what I meant!
