 | mnm2384 (0) 06/07/2008 | It was my first visit to Boston Market ever and went since one of my friends said he really liked the White Rotisserie Chicken, and he thought I should try it too. When went in there were about 5 people in front of us and just 1 person taking and processing orders while the other person who turns out was the manager helping her. When the wait time started to go up we asked people in front of us how long they had been there, they said it was almost 15 minutes. What amazed me was that at least 4 employees were just sitting close-by and chatting around. On asking them they said they were on a break. Hats off to scheduling at that place. Alas the food turned out to be good else it would have been a horrific one hour spent there.

 | g8rhoo (0) 05/31/2008 | We don't have a Boston Market where I live. This fact has probably saved me a considerable amount of money. The cornbread is incredible.

 | Molfan (57) 04/22/2008 | a 3.5. nice change of pace. i do not go there too often. maybe twice a year. they have changed it some over the years. i usually get the chicken. i like to get to pick which two side dishes and quite a few to pick from and the corn bread is nice. not great but nice every now and then. we wait to get a coupon to save a couple dollars. we still eat there but it reminds me of cafeteria style food. my husband tried their sandwiches and said they are pretty good.

 | minkey (36) 12/14/2007 | I've got to give Boston Market 5 stars. For what it is, a fast food chicken and vegetable chain, the food is great. My favorites are the dark meat with the creamed spinach, green bean casserole and the cooked apples. Other favorites are the mac & cheese and sweet potatoes with the marshmallows on top. If you need to bring a dish to a pot luck or something and don't want to cook, call these guys, they'll give you one of the bins for $20 that's bigger than the trays they have on display. You're going to spend more than that on ingredients and time if you cook it yourself probably.

 | xxhopingtearsxx (0) 10/23/2007 | I tried Boston Market for the first time yesterday and I thought it was an okay tasting place. I just didn't like how it didn't fill me up when I wanted to. The cornbread tasted a bit stale where I was at. But overall it's a good place if you're tired of Mcdonalds and Burger King and all the fattening fast food places.

 | ratingman (0) 10/03/2007 | Boston Market has always been good when ever I go the meat is always prepared well and the sides are usually good the mac and cheese is a little on the cheese side and I wonder how long it may have been standing out for and it always looks clean but looks can be decieving. All in all they are pretty good and I am happy with their services

 | LADYBLACKPEARL (7) 09/06/2007 | I dont know what happened here, but Boston Market, or atleast the ones in my area, fell off big time! I used to love their food, but a few times I recieved half cooked chicken (at different locations), and the side dishes were nasty as if they were from a completely different recipe from what I was used to. This in turn made my lose any desire to eat at Boston Market.

 | sashablackkitty (0) 06/18/2007 | Wow I'm surprized to see so many negative reviews. I think it depends on the individual store. We had a WONDEFUL Boston Market when I lived in Fayetteville NC. It was a real treat to eat there and everything I tried was fantastic.. (that comes from a regular cook that is very picky). We esp loved the mac n cheese. The food was always hot, fresh and perfect, the employees were always friendly and helpful. Anytime grabbing a bite to eat out was brought up that was always one of my first choices. I have tried another store in another location and it left a lot to be desired... it did not hit the spot and I was really dissapointed. Now I live far from any boston markets in Texas. I miss it so much ha! I hope they do not go out of business by the time I may move near one again. The frozen meals are horrible IMO. I tried a few and will never do that again. Tried a few recipes for thier stuff and can't find one that tastes like the real mac n cheese. If you have a good one please send it to me.

 | BlueOrchid (41) 04/27/2007 | It's a good substitution if you don't feel like making dinner but quite frankly I'd rather eat at home. I don't like the food because it's not as special as good home cooking. Boston Market was ruined for me when it was all my grandmother used to order when I'd come and visit.

 | restreview (0) 02/02/2007 | Was good back when they were "Boston Chicken", but then they over expanded and the food went down hill. Supermarket rottisserie chicken is often better. They seriously need to get back to their roots.

 | MomsandpopscallmeJoe (10) 11/06/2006 | Not bad if ya must eat there but its a poor substitution for homestyle cooking. Nothin' will ever replace my moms and granny's cookin'.

 | jimorama (3) 08/06/2006 | Exhibit A of a chain that expanded too quickly. Decent concept, but the southerners wont eat anything with a "Boston" attached to it (Yankee Candle in the south is Nantucket Candle...). The rotisserie is good for bringing home for the family. Just avoid the premade crap they sell in the supermarkets.

 | edt4 (99) 06/02/2006 | I'm not sure how many are still around at this point, but they did provide a nice alternative to the typical artery-clogging-McDonald's-type fast food joint that seems to infest every town, city and hamlet across the globe. If you absolutely can't avoid fast food (and who, on occasion, can't?), this is the place to eat. That is if you can find one.

 | kamylienne (77) 02/04/2006 | 2/4/06: Sadly, I must bump this one down a couple of notches, too, based on experiences in the Gainesville, FL location. I avoid eating there after two instances of getting violently ill after taking a bite of corn which had a very distinct chemical-y taste and scent, as well as the mac 'n' cheese. Even the sweet tea was off. I'll give it a "3" out of past experiences elsewhere, but I'm not going back until a few more months; I'm guessing that they're just not cleaning the cookware properly, and I'm hoping that, with the kind of turnaround that most fast food joints get, there'll be new employees with better rinsing habits.
7/20/03: ::drool:: Oh, just thinking about it makes me want to go out and get some of that rotisserie chicken . . . they've got an excellent selection of side dishes, and ordering a Meal for Three is a great meal for me and my fiance'. Three huge side dishes, a whole chicken to split between us, and some fairly decent cornbread . . . Yum. The chicken (at the place we always go to) is consistantly juicy and flavorful. The mashed potatoes are, well, pretty average; the corn tends to be pretty seasoned, but not too bad; the mac & cheese is REALLY cheesy (in a good way); the apples are INCREDIBLY good. It's a bit on the pricy side, certainly, but if you're willing to spend a few more bucks to avoid a less-satisfying meal, this is a gret place to do so.

 | ace88 (0) 12/07/2005 | Almost gave this a five. Their chicken caesar salad, with fresh, hot chicken put on is AMAZING. This is my staple meal, along with a chocolate chip cookie and a bottled water. (their cookies are great). The lines sometimes move slow and the seating tends to be limited....they could work on the atmosphere here a little bit. Still, great, healthier food at fast food type pace.

There is not too many around anymore as they downsized due to weak business. But I did'nt think they were that bad. They were actually a step above fast food and should have been promoted differently. I dont know where they are in my area but I would sure go to one if I knew.

 | Wavebacker (25) 07/25/2005 | Boston Market has just come out with sirloin. What a great move. I always appreciated them for trying to serve a decent meal, but the sirloin move is a great one. I had some and it was fantastic. I wanted more. Usually their food is good anyway, but adding beef is just another reason to stop in.

 | Randyman (103) 05/22/2005 | I'm not that big of a fan of Boston Market, but they are good in a pinch, when for whatever reason, you don't have the time to cook at home. But it just does not have that real home cooked taste, at least not to me. It's acceptable food, but nothing special.

 | xmanda (0) 04/30/2005 | reasonably priced for what you get...i usually get a quarter chicken white with mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese with their corn bread...i'm not a corn bread fan, but i like theirs a lot. their meals taste down-home, with comfort foods such as my usual meal. you've got many choices and they're cooking up more nowadays.

 | midwesterner19 (0) 01/31/2005 | I worked at a Columbus store once. The chain had excellent food that was prepared fresh around the clock. The prices are high around 7 dollars or so typically for meal which you can get a sit-down eating place for the same price. I was shocked how many things at Boston Market are from scratch.

My city there are only 2 restaurants left, the others have closed, I am not sure if maybe the prices have something to do with it, it is a little expensive for a fast-food type restaurant, but I think it is generally worth it.

 | Contax (0) 05/19/2004 | I give Boston Market four stars because it is so much better than its corporate sister (McDonalds) Decent meatloaf. Good chicken. But those new potatoes are simply outstanding. Sweet corn is easy, but theirs is among the best. All the pop you can drink. Real butter available without having to ask is a BIG plus. Cornbread is not bad, either.

 | Sundiszno (30) 03/19/2004 | Pretty good food and selection for a fast food chain. Doesn't smell greasy when you go into a Boston Market. | VirileVagabond (32) 03/15/2004 | It has been some time since I ate at a Boston Market, mostly due to they are getting harder to find. If memory serves, the food was good (though more expensive) with rotisserie chicken and lots of healthy options for side orders (eg veggies and spuds). Getting one of the meals for two, three, etc does help control the price and is recommended.

 | DickWeener (0) 01/22/2004 | Alot of choices here, expensive sides, some of the time they are kinda old, so I don't really know how good the food is fresh , it tasted alright....I would go somewhere else if I wanted to spend that kind of money on a dinner.

 | LRRAPP (0) 01/03/2004 | It's great to go somewhere that serves real, recognizable food. This is better by far than the burger joints-they actually have vegetables. One of the great things is the chance to taste before buying. How about a four side-order plate offering?
