Great drunk food.Eggs that don't offend. . .decor that's tacky yet not too harsh on drunk eyes. . .and cheap prices. Waitresses vary from messed-up hot single moms who are near stripperdom or tough-as-nails middle aged hags. But what would a drunken escape be without a late night chow-down at this place? Solid four.

Places like these are simply like an oasis for hungry drunks. You know it's not good, and you suffered for going the next day not long before, but nothing stops you.

A five for the place and a one for the food. Denny's is popular as a drunk destination, but I don't think its necessarily because of the food. Most other drunk foods come from a stand or a delivery place when the bars close, but places like IHOP or Denny's offer you a place to sit when the drinking has stopped but the night isn't quite over. I don't think anybody is going there for the food, but more for the 3 AM experience.

It the kind of place I used to wind up at the end of a long night of boozing and almost always regretted it. I'd wind up eating some godawful thing that looked like a deep fried toad smothered in dead cat sauce, and having the predictable reaction half an hour later.

We usually went to Perkins in college, but Denny's is more or less the same thing.

Denny's...uhhhh...YEAH. Taco Bell and Denny's got me through college. Both were open 24 hours...and both were there for me when I had a bit too much to drink!
