In my opinion he is one of the best, not just for his guitar skills he is an entertainer. And he loves what he does.

Go grab "Live At Carnegie Hall" when he was in the James Gang. Smoking blues riffs..plus he playes the B-3!! Ask what Pete Townsend thinks of him.... Joe is something else...amazing talent.

doesn't play to impress... he plays to to make an impression. unmatched style.

He has talent on the instrument. A real Jekyll and Hyde for me- I love his work with The James Gang, have a neutral reaction to his solo stuff, but despise The Eagles...

Joe got some reall nasty great songs and terrific performance. Too bad the other musicians that he played with look bored out of their minds during perfomance.

For a guy that looks and acts like he wouldn't know one end of a guitar from the other he's simply amazing.

Yea, this guy is good. Loved James Gang. I get a kick out of watching Joe play because he holds the guitar and pick like he's a beginner and then he starts playing all these tasty licks. A heckuva talent.

Joe is a real good rock player, and a perfect match for 'The Eagles'. He should be proud of the work he's done with them. These days, as an avid Ham Radio operator (Amateur Radio) and enthusiast, he spends much time on the airwaves/Ham bands, communicating via voice or morse code!!! Do a 'google' search for 'Ham Radio Joe Walsh', and some cool sites come up with photos of him engaged in his hobby!

One of the best and one of the most underrated artists. Played with James Gang and Eagles but also had a highly successful solo career. Brilliant talent.

1 star huh!?! You don't know good guitar when you hear it. I've never seen the Eagles play live in concert, but I do have the Eagles Farewell I dvd and that man can play. I really enjoyed watching him perform Walk Away, Funk 49, Rocky Mountain Way as well as other Eagle song! "Everybody say he's cool..."

A great guitarist while playing with both the James Gang and The Eagles. Needs to drop the goofy alter-ego that he uses while speaking to the press or to the audience from the stage. Great riffs and handy finger-work. The James Gang was a truly under-rated band.

One of the best guitarists to come out of the early 70s and one of the greatest of all time. He was one of if not the first to use a voice box long before Frampton Comes Alive. Suprised it took this long to get him on this list.
