Rubbin' the Rock and Runnin' the Hill 5

Nothing beats the Tigers gathering at the top of The Hill and rubbing Howard's Rock before entering the stadium before over 80,000 raucous fans in a sea of orange.

Rubbin' the Rock and Runnin' the Hill 5

I haven't missed the tigers running down the hill in 13 years and I'm only 16 years old. Once you see the players leave the locker rooms to load the busses, you cant wait untill you here the sirens from the police cars once they get around the stadium. Death Valley, which is one of the loudest stadiums in the nation, erupts when the players huddle around the rock. The cannon blows and the players sprint down the hill making you get chill bumps every time you whatch it.

Rubbin' the Rock and Runnin' the Hill 4

Clemson has Howard's Rock and the Running of the Hill, otherwise known as the "most exciting 25 seconds in college football"! There is nothing like seeing the buses leave the locker room and hear the buzz start in the crowd. Then as the band starts playing the "Sock it to 'em" and we see the boys gather by the rock the crowd really gets going. Then the cannon explodes, the boys rub the rock and run down the hill, Tiger Rag plays and the upper decks tremble. Come on down and experience it with us. We will buy you a beer at the Esso Club.
