His claim to fame was that as a young actor in Philadelphia, he tried to hit on a young and very good looking girl working the counter of Lit Brothers Department store in the early 1950s. She didn't take Fell's bait, but later fell for an unemployed roofer, married him...and went on to become my mother [I miss you, Mom].
