STOP IT! STOP IT! No one, no town, no person "deserves" a World Series. . .a team has to earn it, period. I despise the notion that a 'town' or a 'team' deserves anything outside of what the team earns on the field. Yes, the White Sox are a team with more tragedy than a Russian novel, but that doesn't mean anything should be given to them.

They won, they go. It's that simple!

They won too, so my Astros comment goes double for them.

I tend to root for team that has either never won or it has been many years since they have. I am glad to see some other team get to go for a change and have a crack at the world series. They White Sox must have had a good enough season to get this far so yes they deserve to be at the World Series.

It'll be great to see a matchup of a team who's last World Series victory was in 1917 againest a team that has never been in one.
