Gonna have to go with the Sox. They have alot of momentum and their starters are on a hot streak right now. I just think they are a team of destiny this year, much like the BoSox were. I do keep in mind that the Stros have clemens, Oswalt and Andy the lefty.

Astros. The end of the season and start of the playoffs interrupted a major choke job that Chicago was in the midst of pulling. My guess is that a few days off will allow them to drift out of "The Zone" they have been in and resume their former collapsing ways. On a side note, I'm happy to see both these franchises finally get a chance in the sun and will not be distressed over one beating the other.

All you freaks are taking the sox, so I'm gonna take the Astros in six to laugh at you all just in case they do win.

Tough call. These two teams match up pretty well, and it could be a damn close fought series. I'd give it to the White Sox, based on superior starting pitching, although if the Astros can get into their bullpen, it could make a big difference. I don't see a short series. White Sox in 6 or 7.

White Sox in 7. I think the Astros will have a lot of momentum after surviving a near catastrophic breakdown, but the Sox are more sound in both pitching and hitting. The only concern is the time away from the field when they had to watch the Astros and Cardinals finish out. Frank Thomas will make a dramatic appearence and say to Ozzie:"I'm ready". He will hit a grand slam off of Brad Lidge with two outs and the White Sox trailing by 3. (I also want to take this time to pay tribute to one of the Bay Area's golden voices. Bill King passed away Tuesday after complications following hip surgery. He was the voice of the Raiders, Giants, Warriors, and Athletics for many years. He was the only broadcaster I cared hearing about listening to the A's radio station when the Giants games weren't on. He is best remembered for his words of choice on the "Holy Roller" game back in the seventies. I thank him for all his years of service. My deepest respects go out to the King family. Rest in peace, Bill. You were truly someone special.)
