I havent eaten in a McDonalds for 15 years. My ex-wife has always worked at them. She used to spit in burgers if she didnt like someone, especially cops. She did it in Austin and Kansas City. I cant believe she is a McDonalds store manager at Las Cruces El Paseo now. Goes to show the low standards of McDonalds.

God - awful burgers . fries & apple pies are the only thing they have that's really good . and the McRib , whichthey have , what , 2 days a year .
Dustron 09/04/2009
Just meh. Not too big on the burgers here. Used to get the filet o fish and chicken nuggets from time to time but now all I really get here is breakfast once in awhile. McGriddles and sausage mcmuffins are a plus, mostly the former. Hash browns are decent too.

I travel so McDonalds for a fast breakfast was routine, but I have gone to my last McDonald's. Several weeks ago I watched the girl preparing my sandwich tear the bacon into two postage stamp size pieces to satisfy their description of two pieces of bacon on their breakfast sandwich. (By the way it is not real bacon anyway.) I registered a complaint with McD's HQ but got no response. After changing to Arby's (real egg, real bacon) for a few weeks I thought I would give McD's a try again hoping they had cleaned up their act. This time ordered sausage/egg/cheese to avoid the postage stamp bacon. Was charged for the cheese but they had omitted the cheese. Wow!! What a way to make thier millions. Cheating the customers and the food isn't that great either.

They pack in so much salt and sugar that you get addicted and have to eat there all the time. Mc Donald's made me fat once. I got up past 200 lbs and my mouth cracked when I smiled, which was rarely. I was very angry and full of cravings. My tongue was full of cuts and red dots.I started to get things super sized just to get my fix. People found me in bathrooms snorting fries. Then when I had my heart attack and was rush to the hospital in my pajama pants, they told me it's my gull bladder and that I probably have been eating too much fast food. I said Mc Donald's everyday and they yelled at me.I been back rarely since. Big mac sauce is hard to duplicate at home because it is hard to find mayo and Thousand Islands salad dressing that is cheap enough to give that mild and vague flavor. I feel fat and like I weigh 1000 pounds now when I do rarely eat there. And as god as my witness.. I will never super size again!! :P

I vowed to myself a few months ago - I shall never eat McDonald's.Low-quality food, greasy, just... disgusting.
TheRealHowardS 06/01/2009
For me, McDonald's sets the standard for mediocrity. When traveling alone I always stop at a Burger King, Wendy's or Long John Silver's instead of Mickeys, but I rate the #1 chain above Hardee's (not very good), KFC (a bit pricey) and Taco Bell (pricey and not good). One thing about McDonald's that's always bothered me: They stop serving breakfast at 10:30. I'm not ready for lunch before 11. I've heard that McDonald's has taken surveys, and they know that they would do more business between 10:30 and 11:00 serving breakfast instead of lunch, but it takes a half hour for them to fully transition to the lunch menu, and they have calculated that the additional revenue would be more than offset by the money they would lose between 11:00 and 11:30, when most people want lunch.

The food is good, but some of it is probably unhealthy. The service at the window is really hit and miss. Sometimes there are friendly people at the window, and other times there are quieter and unfriendlier people who just want you to give them the money and go to the next window.
jrriney 03/16/2009
So the McDonalds down from my house has a sign that says open 24 hours, But Ive tried to go through and they were closed at times. Plus they only offer like six items during their "late night hours".
myrandasgreen 02/18/2009
I dont care what anyone says,McDonalds is good.Sure it gives you the runs for days, and there isnt anything different about the food, but they are obviously doing something right huh?

Well, I don't know how to start. First, we got back-sassed by a guy named Tom in Playland and he worked there! Secondly, our burgers were cold! And they were double cheese burgers! Our fries were 250 calories when they were supposed to be 100. The bathrooms were very dirty and there were unflushed buisness in the toilet. If you guys do a commercial, think about hiring out substitue teacher jim. Or as we call him, Mr. Mc. He's always moving because he's go ants in his pants. And he is fit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!The star tells it all! TERRIBLE!! :(
Doctor of Madness 01/25/2009
These days, McDonald's is providing good food at a good price, like they used to before they lost their way.
effy05 01/21/2009
their ice cream cones are only 150 calories.*update: since when is a 10 pc chicken nugget meal = $7.50?? With that, I can get a much better, healthier meal elsewhere.

I actually work at McDonalds, now. Yeah - I am that cool.
Melanie37 12/09/2008
I have always loved McDonalds until recently. All the local chains here have employed people that can barely speak english. Ordering has become difficult due to not understaning the food clerk and my order is usually incorrect 4 out of 5 times. I have started going to other places.
lorifreakinlor i 12/03/2008
Well unless you are a twig and berry eater or are paranoid about "corporate" america you usually don't have a problem with McDonalds. It isn't meant to be health food and that's part of the fun of it, all things in moderation.
cyclee 12/02/2008
I usually only choose to go there for their fries and toys and NHL hockey cards. Sometimes their over simplified burgers are better than the overly loaded sandwiches sold by their competitors.
Diver1340 12/02/2008
Poor service, workers that don't speak decent English...
PCPeter774 12/01/2008
Not the worst but not good enough to call it okay. But pleasant childhood memories though.

When you think of a bowel movement on a bun, think of MacDonald's. When you think of those Golden Arches, think of an enduring symbol of the lowbrow boorish tastes of the American public. How these places stay in business in this day and age is a wonder, but I guess really poor people, societal bottomfeeders and base, indescriminating louts have to eat somewhere. MacDonald's used to be considered a model of business perfection, with a new franchise opening virtually every few hours somewhere around the world. Today, MacDonald's is considered one of the biggest turkeys in corporate America for a number of reasons: (1) the food is flavorless, (2) the food is downright unhealthy (all that fat and sodium, ugh!), (3) attempts to diversify the menu over the past fifteen years have been a total flop, (4) the product is overpriced for what you're getting, (5) Americans have slightly more sophisticated tastes than in the 1950s and 1960s when the MacDonald's concept was developed and the company has been very, very slow and sluggish in responding to changes in the market, and (6) the Board of Directors of the company is largely comprised of vendors to the corporation, and these Directors are loathe to make any substantive changes in the product that might compromise their lucrative contracts with the captive clientelle, namely, the hapless franchisees. As a result, the company's numbers have been flat for years and the franchise holders are pissed off that the profitability is not nearly what it once was. Seems the only vibrant market for this crap is overseas, the unsavory American connotation of this brand notwithstanding, and as soon as the novelty wears off, the numbers in that regard are going to follow those on the domestic side down the terlet. Also seems that the only time domestic MacDonald's does any brisk volume is during promotions when they sell Big Macs for $1, which, after all, is what those crapburgers are truly worth. It's also telling that a significant portion of MacDonald's business springs from those health-destroying Happy Meals, which wouldn't sell at all if toys weren't included with the revolting fare. It's pretty pathetic that MacDonald's has to, in essense, bribe children with toys to move product. Of course, these spoiled little mutant brats have weak, lame parents willing to cavil to the incessant screaming and demands for such nonsense, so as long as this dearth of parenting continues, MacDonald's will have at least one market group it can count on. Face it folks: MacDonald's is a loser, and for good reason. Maybe if the morbidly obese lardasses who live on this crap would stop doing so, and mosey their corpulent butts over to the gym, it would contribute some downward pressure on the the general health costs in this country, and save the rest of us money on our health insurance premiums.

***Terrible Coffee handling*** A visit to a near McDonalds restaurant at wilshire/union at the home depot shopping center during morning time, the employees at McDonalds have about 10 empty coffee cups and about 10 cups (empty) for orange juice, all in front of a trash can, near the coffee area where workers serve the coffee, later the worker comes and pours the coffee to all the empty cups and the same with the orange juice (10) cups, and they wait until us the customers ask for coffee or orange juice and they give it to us from 3-4 minute standby accumulation, all of this near the trash and the cups opened, later covered. By the time we get the coffee/ or orange juice and take it to our tables, coffee is cold, and with drown fly's swimming and pieces of air small trashy feathers. That is not appropriate according to the county of Los Angeles health department, coffee should be served upon customers request right out of the coffee pot, as well with the orange juice. Please take a look when an employee of McDonalds picks up your coffee! Option#1: From the accumulative coffees/ orange juices that are stand by, with pieces of fly wings or other air small trash Option# 2 (THE BEST) Request to have your coffee served right out of the coffee pot/ or orange juice freshly served from machine. Please observe on your next McDonalds visit!

If you are over the age of eight (8) you have no business eating at this establishment. I mean come on, it is the embodiment of what is wrong with corporate America and tastes like sewage. Do your mind and body a favor and eat at Subway
