A fairly easy skill to pick up, and it has everyday use.

I can spot it every time.

I am pretty good on the most part about it, but not always. I sometimes let myself be naive or too trusting.

Brushing up on this skill is necessary 'cause people are getting better and better at spreading the BS around. Definitely a useful skill...

The BS alarm is vital in today's modern world, or you will fall for every fad, con, and politician on the planet.

Ideal if you spend anytime in bars!

Useful if you plan on not being ripped off or generally snockered. On the other hand, those of us who like to spin tall tales love it when people are gullible.

. . . unfortunately, it's hard to tell with some people if they are pulling your chain, or if they're really, honestly THAT crazy. With some people, it's best to smile, nod, say "Okay . . .", and move along. And it's probably a good idea to avoid eye contact, too. Rich sources of BS are generally found in advertising, politicians/people on the extreme ends of the political spectrum, car salesmen, insurance salesmen . . . well, salesmen in general, informercials, psychic hotlines, anyone trying to promote fad diets, crappy movie critics, business people who use words like "paradigm" and "proactive", etc.

Seems to be sadly lacking lately.
