You should have proper table manners, especially when you're out and about amongst other people.

Just keep the basics in mind and you'll be fine.

Manners are important period - behind table or anywhere else. I was brought up this way. You are the way you behave.

Very useful--and believe me, I'm still having a hard time teaching my grandfather this. But, my father has learned well enough under my tutelage. ^_^ Seriously, I believe that it is essential for putting out a good image. I see some people spitting in public, scratching and doing other things that I would never do around mixed company or anyone I respected. Thankfully, a good number of people I know have great manners.

Well, you won't need this all the time. But, it's nice to not scratch your butt and belch at a five-star restaurant.
