Hmmm. I love chickens fried, but I love BIG MACS.

Had it once out of necessity. I think the food took fourteen minutes off of the end of my life.

The store in Conyers Georgia is terrible. No customer service and the manager is rude. Had a problem with a to go order and got home with the wrong thing. The funny thing about it is we were the only customers in the store. Call from home to talk with the manager and she was very rude, saying so what do you want me to do about it. The attitude she showed on the phone was horrible. She couldn't even speak good English. We should have left before we ordered as all the employees where playing and not working. This is a new store and our first and last time in there. With that customer service and manager it will not last long.

I like Popeye's...probably my favorite chicken establishment, largely because of the red beans and rice.

The chicken and sandwiches are satisfactory, but what really impresses me about Popeye's is the variety of sides. Some of the options are not common to fast food, like red beans and rice. All of the sides are good. The biscuits are tasty but if you analyze them and notice how greasy and heavy they are they become less appetizing.

They are ok...have really good iced tea...actually fresh brewed.

Chicken is rather boring.

I've had it a couple times while travelling in the U.S. and found it a little better than average for fast food chicken. The one outlet I've been to in Canada, however, apparently cooks the chicken in Quaker State 10w30.

Yum. I like Popeye's much better than KFC. I love their chicken strips...with ketchup. =P

The food is always good. They usually get the order right. However, they have been known to be rude.

I like the product but I always have something missing weather I get it in the store or the takeout. Then they write it in the manager book and say that they are going to include it only to find it missing again. I will not return. It is on my way home but not close by so it is inconvenient to go back and hard to take everything apart and check. I think they need to train more in customer service. I will try Churche's chicken which is nearby.

The food is getting more bland as time goes on and I find them to be the most family un-friendly chain of all. None of their locations in the suburbs os IL have baby-changing tables! They DO have highchairs - explain that one?! If you have highchairs, you have babies and toddlers who need to be changed. I had to go to the car to change my son the last 2 times we went to Popeye's because we had him with us and neither the women's or men's washroom had a changing table. I wrote to them about this - we'll see what happens.

They do have a number of locations that are pretty dirty, but the food cant be beaten. Churchs, KFC, and Bojangles are garbage compared to Popeyes. The chicken is bursting with flavor no matter what piece you get. And the biscuits.. ooo mama. they are the kings of biscuits especially when just out of the oven.

The best fast fried chicken I've had. Their spicy chicken is the best. Biscuits are better than KFC. Rice and beans are a good side.

Alton store #164, stopped today. Girls behind counter were rude. They overcharged me $1.00 and when I caught the error, they were mad; didn't know how to fix it. I ordered a lg. red beans/rice and a lg. slaw and 6 pcs of chicken.I look in sack before I leave and have 2 lg. red beans/rice and when I tell them; they argue and say I ordered 2 red beans/rice. She threw the slaw in the sack; when leaving I asked for the manager's name and she said her name was Sara, couldn't give me her last name. Store was dirty, 5 clerks behind counter was dirty and manager was dirty. One lady had sores on both arms, covered in flour, all of them had uncombed hair. I will probably never visit there again. I guess chicken was OK, slaw was OK. What happened to customer service??

I don't remember the chicken, I always get the mashed potatoes and red beans. They are good in a gross way.

As a former Popeye's manager, I can tell you that the food is AWFUL and they treat employee's like crap. Also, there is NOTHING Cajun about this stuff. The mild chicken seasoning is nothing more than MSG and the spicy seasoning is red pepper. Also the shortening used to fry the chicken in has BEEF FAT in it. The chicken is not pressure fried either.

This is good chicken, you gotta give'um that. But the Popeye's where I live is slow, the employees act bored, and hey, they're a bit expensive. Still, the food is okay.

new addition, is that they are doing worse, this time they forgot the biscuits, were dead and still made me wait forever!/When our towns Popeyes first opened several months ago to a year now, I waited till things calmed down with them and finally went and visited their store. The first couple of visits were satisfactory, especially the food! Now I find that their service is declining fast, but the food is still very good as long as you get what you ordered and you don't have to wait forever to get it! I do agree that their chicken, mashed potatos and bisquits are all much better than KFCs and the price is better too!

This is definitely the best chicken-based chain in the US, better than Chick-Fil-A and KFC. By the way (unfortunately), I live in a very racially divided town, and when Popeyes moved in virtually every one of my black and Hispanic friends went there every day for lunch.

The dirty rice is awful. Biscuits are great. Fries aren't bad, the seasoning is good but the fries get cold quick.

The best chicken chain in my opinion. Although I might be biased since I am from New Orleans. Also the best mashed potatoes in my opinion. I'm also very impressed by the flavor of the Red Beans, and that's saying a lot, trust me.

Most suburban cats dont go here because they tend to be in urban war zones...but this chicken is pretty bleeping good for fast food. Get it spicy with red beans -n- rice.

Best fried chicken to come out of a drive-thru. Much better than KFC. And you can also get red beans and rice. The biscuits used to be great, not quite as good anymore but still delicious.

This is such good chicken. The chicken comes with a lot of meat on the bone, unlike KFC. And the flavor is kick ass. I <3 Popeyes!

I absolutely loved their naked chicken, but I am mad at them for removing the Naked Chicken from their menu.

This chicken kicks Church's ass big time. KFC is too high, and Church's chicken is too greasy. Poyeye's is really good dudes. Loved it!!

Out of the chicken chains that I've ever been too, I like Popeye's the best. Their chicken has a good flavor overall and i think that their cajun fries are a nice complement to the chicken as well.

This company serves the best chicken in town, not to mention there biscuits. I wouldn't eat here too much if you want to mantain your wasteline, but other then that its great. In reference to the bad customer service experiences, get over it--they hire at minumal wage so what do you expect as far as great customer services.

MY WITH AND I WENT OUT TO EAT AT POPEYE'S IN LAKELAND, FLORIDA BECAUSE WE HEARD THAT IT WAS GOOD, HOWEVER WE WERE TURNED AWAY BECAUSE THEY SAID THAT THEY DIDN'T TAKE CREDIT CARDS. IS THIS THE AGGENTA OF ALL THE POPEYE' EVERYWHERE OR IS THIS ONE ISOLATED STORE. IF THIS IS THE WAY IT IS WITH ALL STORE'S YOU ARE LOOSING A LOT OF MONEY. I WON'T BE GOING BACK TO POPEYE'S AGAIN

I love everything on the menu at popeyes! The red beans and rice are the best. Popeyes cajun gravy makes the potatoes awsome. My boys can't seem to get enough of the potatoes. We only eat at Popeyes when we are on the road for travel hockey. so its a real treat. I wish we had a popeyes here in south Ft. Myers Florida. Then again it might prove to be too much temtation. The weight thing , you know.

I went once and was not impressed. Yeah, it's spicy, but unfortunately the chicken is average to below average, and their gravy tastes funny.

Spicy fried chicken is crunchy, hot, juicy, absolutely the best and worth every penny! I crave it, and only it. Not just fried chicken, but POPEYE'S SPICY. Yum!

I recently visited your new location at the Westgate Mall in Brockton, Ma. Having been in the business for 37 yrs, I was appalled at the way we were treated. I do realize that the location had recently opened and I also know that mistakes happen, but what was done to us was unforgiveable. We were given at least 2 wrong items, and one was never even ordered. The lines were long, but we arrived at the opening time, when everything should have been prepared and ready to go. While waiting to receive our order, there were 6 or 7 people ahead of us and all were waiting to return wrong items. When I went back to find out what happened to my side order and found it was never even ordered, the young lady who was supervising spoke to the girl who waited on us and she looked right at me and said They changed everything after they ordered. Having been in the restaurant industry for 37 years, 20 of it in management, and having trained dozens of servers, this person would work for me for as long as it took to get to the time clock and punch out. Even if a customer changes his/her mind after ordering, which has happened to me uncountable times, absolutely NEVER should reference be made in front of a customer, never mind in a line with a dozen others. Absolutely nothing was done to compensate for this huge faux pas. We were embarrassed in front of literally dozens of people. If you need someone to train your people in courtesy and professional treatment, let me know. To top it all off, my companion was given the wrong dessert. I have always enjoyed your product, but will likely never go back, as I will not be treated this way.

Yeah there is such a hype about this place. I have herd this chicken is so good thats why its expesnive. No its nothing special and way to expensive!

I like this better than KFC, it just tastes more homemade, and I especially like the spicy type. They have biscuits and gravy too which is yummmy stuff!

UPDATE: I'm going to have to try their Red Beans and Rice again. So may people have told me how good they are, and a few reviewers have commented on them as well. Maybe it was just a bad batch. Worth a second look. ORIGINAL COMMENT: Their chicken is good, but not as good as Church's. I love Red Beans and Rice, but not theirs. The rest of the stuff is OK.

This place does put KFC to shame. Their chicken is far superior and not as greasy/mushy. Their onion rings are killer, but unfortunately they are major gut-busters. Make sure you have some Maalox or Pepcid nearby. I like their red beans and rice as well.

went to one of these with my aunt during a couple months ago down in alabama during my spring break. I thought this place was great. They need some more around where i live. My mom says the one closest is in Pontiac, Michigan. Good work popeye!

Well seasoned and flavorful,as long as the chicken hasn't been sitting there too long.Good side dishes,too.

I'm no fast food fanatic, but I'll make an exception with Popeye's & maybe one or two other chains. While there chicken is certainly decent, their biscuits and red beans & rice are killer.

Chincy, cheap and very unfilling. Every thing at Popeyes is low quality. I ate a sandwich for $3 and was hungry an hour later because it was small and a waste of calories, too much grease and the batter was awful.

It was good until they changes their chicken recipe. ;( But, I'll eat over that KFC's bucket o' crap anyday.

This place is so much better than KFC it's embarrasing. I love the spices they use in their chicken and their side dishes like bisquits and mashed potatoes are great too.

Not the cleanest place in the world, but the New Orleans Spicy Chicken is excellent. You can hear your arteries busting with each crunchy bite. But what a way to go. Everything else on the menu is pretty nasty, save the buttermilk bisquits.

The biscuits are very tasty and the chicken is fair, but the fries could be better. Overall, better than KFC.

Two things, great quality chicken, not old birds lik KFC. And the Red Beans and Rice is a artery-clogging treat!

I only went there once on a road trip when we stopped in PA, it was really expensive for a fast food chicken joint, and they don't have a big selection, but i have to admit, the chicken was good, JUST STAY AWAY FROM THE POTATOES!!!!

Popeye's is SO much tastier than KFC. It always tastes fresh and crispy. The fries and biscuits are to die for, too. Plus, they have Coke products!

I'm a big fan of Popeye's Fried Chicken. The breasts a big and meaty and don't taste like they were microwaved. Great fries, mashed potatos and biscuits as well.
