Ok, but words like "Recycled," "Biodegradable," "Green," "Environmentally Safe," and the dreaded "Organic" on products are so ubiquitous, and so frequently misleading or weasel worded, that if you're going to be diligent about this, you had better do more research than reading the big words on the label.

I'll assume that alcohol is environmentally friendly.

I feel much better buying what is healthier for you,me and the environment.Sometimes it costs a little more, sometimes it saves me money. There are very good products such as laundry and dish detergent,non-bleached towels and tissue paper, shampoo, soap and toothpaste. It is also good to look at the packaging when you care about the environment. If you can't find such products in your local or super market, ask for them.If that doesn't work, you can always go to a health food store.

Well, it's a plus when I'm comparing products at the store. But I don't usually go out of my way for it.

Without going overboard in reading fine print and online studies, whenever this is possible I do it.
