This whole "environmentlaist/ climate change" BS is the biggest hoax ever perpetrated on mankind. Hybrids run on gasoline up to anywhere between 25-45 MPH. The cost of hybrids means that it would take an average of about 11 years for petrol savings to make up for the difference in sticker price. Who keeps a car 11 years? And finally, if everyone bought a hybrid tomorrow, what happens to all those batteries at 100,000 miles? What a crock!

When they go on sale, like $15,000 to $20,000. I might check into it.

Well, I don't buy a car often, but we have a hybrid...
GenghisTheHun 05/13/2008
I didn't know that cars of different types mated.
zuchinibut 05/12/2008
I would like to buy a hybrid car or some other environmentally friendly vehicle in the future. However, a hybrid isn't financially viable right now for my family. The people who are buying hybrids right now are like lab rats, who will hopefully lead to affordable cars that don't rely so heavily on gas in the future.
trebon1038 05/12/2008
I don't have one now but as they improve I hope to buy one in the future...thus the five star rating.
magellan 05/12/2008
My next car will probably be a hybrid of some kind - I wasn't quite ready this time around. The hybrids seemed pretty pricey for what you get.
irishgit 05/12/2008
Like a 1968 Plymouth Roadrunner with the 440 engine?
What do you mean, its not a hybrid?
It is too, it burns both gas and rubber.
twansalem 05/12/2008
I wouldn't mind buying one, but as of right now, there really aren't very many options. The hybrid market as of right now is largely composed of dinky little clown cars and SUVs, neither of which is something that I want to own. If they start making a larger hybrid car that has some leg and head room, I'll consider it.

Great,if you can afford one.The good news is,you can convert the car you have now to run on Vegatable Oil.It costs around $600.(How much have you SUV owners spent on gas over the last 3 to 6 months?)For information go to greengreasemonkey.com

If you can afford it, then great. My hope is that within the next 10 to 15 years there will be more of these vehicles on the market at a more affordable cost. Use of hybrid vehicles would cut back on emissions, and ultimately improve air quality.
Mr.Political 10/24/2005
Not unless Hummer comes out with a hybrid (give it a few years).
Kairho 10/23/2005
I drive a big pickup and actually use it. So until they make a hybrid truck with sufficient power, I'll stick to diesel.
