"Disposable" anything means more garbage and more landfill.

This is awfully hard to do if you buy your provisions in a supermarket.

I try to be careful about buying stuff with minimal packaging, buying bulk where practical, using my own coffee cup and so forth, but it isn't always easy, and sometimes I'm seduced by convenience.

It depends on the product, but yeah, it's a slight consideration when I'm buying stuff.

UPDATE:  Alright, so I went all "hippie" and got two of those cloth bag things at Target so I don't have to keep getting those damned plastic bags (sure, I can reuse the plastic bags, but there are only so many plastic bags I can use).  It's kinda cute:  they zipper up into these convenient little pouches.  And, actually, they're way easier to carry than plastic bags (weight distribution is a lot better).  I still feel kinda weird saying that I brought my own bag, but they don't seem to mind (since they sold them to me in the first place).

I know people who use paper plates and such at home so they don't have to do dishes....not me. At work I also bought the heavy duty plastic silverware so I can reuse them.

I should use less of this stuff, but honestly I usually don't even think about it.

The big area that I think I can improve here is to bring my own coffee mug to the coffee shop. I drink a lot of coffee, and as such, consume a lot of paper cups.

There's way too many "disposable" products. If we stop buying them,we'll force the makers to be more responsible and make environmentally savvy products.

Whenever practical in terms of performance, convenience, availability, and cost I'll use a disposable product. Of course, sometimes I use disposables exclusively, such as matches.
