 | Mike667 (2) 06/25/2008 | Artificial trees are made from plastic and other non-biodegradable materials. It's better for the environment to use a real tree, from a cutivated farm and to replant that tree upon cutting it down. Or, in my case, SKIP THE TREE ENTIRELY!

 | myspace-128767228 (0) 05/28/2008 | Last time I tried the cats knocked the branches off. I'd rather not have a tree at all.

 | ??Full of Wonder and ... (0) 05/26/2008 | who wants the mess of pine needles?

 | Molfan (57) 05/13/2008 | we have one but not to be enviromentally helpful. they are okay and we do not mind hauling it out of the basement every year. as a child we used to get real trees. I know there are some who would not consider it Christmas without a real tree. to each their own. we joke that we saved a tree's life this year.

 | GenghisTheHun (168) 05/13/2008 | This is something I do. My dog and cat hate the falling needles.

 | zuchinibut (36) 05/12/2008 | I love tradition and that means that I want a real tree in my home. This isn't something I consider making an environmentally friendly decision.

 | DynaSword11252 (27) 05/12/2008 | I don't put up Christmas trees, however, I planted ever-green leyland cypress trees in my yard, I have over 12 planted and they are at least 10 feet high, they fight pollution, and they are dark green all year.

 | LadyJesusFan777 (34) 05/12/2008 | I haven't put up a tree in a really long time. Nothing
necessarily wrong with it. I just don't see any reason to.

 | twansalem (36) 05/12/2008 | If I get around to putting up a tree at all, it's usually artificial. Sometimes I just go with the Nativity Scene and don't bother with a tree at all.

 | irishgit (138) 05/12/2008 | I do this, but it isn't by choice. My condo prohibits the use of live trees, due to the mess and potential fire hazard.
I'll take the environmental credit for it though, as long as you're handing it out.

 | magellan (153) 05/12/2008 | Yeah, I'm mildly against chopping down all those trees for Christmas. We put lights on a plant.

 | Sundiszno (30) 10/24/2005 | We have an artificial tree, but I'm not sure just how environmentally friendly it is, all things considered. It's made of plastic, so it not a renewable resource like a tree, and whenever it ultimately gets thrown out, it'll probably never decompose.
