I tried watching this and cannot make it though. A really lousy movie. Made not too long after Grease, some film makers must have thought "Lets make another movie with Olivia Newton John" Not a good idea. she is a nice singer but barely passable as an actress.Gene Kelly although wonderful in his earlier movies was wasted in this movie. Pretty bad all around.

This was to be a show case for Olivia Newton-John. Unfortunately she had no screen ability and it is a colossal stinker!

Around this time, the late 70's/ turn of the 80's, there were a lot of horrible films , like Can't Stop the Music and Sgt. Pepper's, coming out with pseudo-eclectic, everything but the kitchen sink casts. This cinematic dung, incomprehensible blend of sci-fi, dancing, and futuristic insanity featured the unctuous Olivia Newton-John, Gene Kelly on rollerskates, and a clearly over the hill ELO performing some tunes, it may have almost killed their career like it nearly killed the Bee Gees'. Avoid at all costs, one of the worst films of the last 25 years!

I can see why people hate this movie and I don't blame them one bit. I like it simply for nostalgic purposes. So sue me... lol
