The food is anything but authentic. What are you talking about? This is a mediocre Taco Bell-wannabe. Authentic Mexican food is refritos, beans, rice, chile peppers...not ground beef, tater tots and nachos.

Ersatz Mexican food for people who are taste-bud challenged.

The potato oles' are good if they are cooked long enough and have alot of seasoning on them, other than that the food is unedible.

Edible unlike Del Taco. But Taco Bell is obviously the better of all of the taco joints.

I definetly agree with Randy. Come on, the food is authentic, the only reason some people hate it is because they dont try foreign foods enough. I have traveled to many countries and have tried many foods. For a fast food place its definetly authentic enough for me.

Taco Johns has excellent food, and I have always had excellent service while there. No matter what time of day I go there, I am greeted by friendly people who seem to care about their jobs. My favorite item is the Super Combination Burrito. It's got olives, tomatoes, Sour cream and lettuce. Really excellent. Some people say Taco John's isn't any good, but I think it's way better than most of the greasy burger places.

I give them an "OK" just because of the Potato Ole Bravo. Chili, cheese, sour cream, and tater tots is a great combo that is even better when you make it yourself. Everything else on the menu is garbage.

My dad calls this place "Taco Puke" or "Taco S---" (he said he ate there once and ended up throwing his food away because it was so gross) and rightfully so. I tried it once and that was enough for me. The food was just nasty-tasting and not very good. The only decent thing they have is nachos, but other than that, I'd rather eat at Taco Bell, thank you. There's too many Taco Johns here in the Midwest- I wish they'd leave!

You couldn't get me into a Taco John's if you sat on me. Can you say "plankton and feces masqueradeing as 'foodstuffs'?" Nasty place, nasty food! Even the raccoons won't eat out of their garbage cans!

The potato oles are the saving grace, especially after bar close.The rest of their food makes me want to chunk.

This place is way more authentic then Taco Bell. For a fast food mexican place, it is not bad at all.
