On DEcember 12, 1982, Miami and New England were playing a hard fought 0-0 game during a snowfall and generally inclement weather in New England. In the 4th quarter, when the Pats got within field goal range, a convicted burglar on a work release program uninvitedly took a snow plow onto the field to clear a space for the New England field goal kicker. The field goal was made and the Patriots won 3-0. (Add picture)

Now here's a "home field advantage" with a vengeance.

I've always disliked the Dolphins, so I can't feel too sorry for them. They may have got hosed a little here, but they couldn't move the ball worth a damn all game.

For sheer comedic value, I can't rank it much higher. . .the guy was a prisoner, wasn't he? You couldn't make up that story if you tried. . .
