One of the greats of the Negro Leagues, who was too old for the game by the time Jackie Robinson had opened the doors to the Major Leagues.
Legendary speedster, Satchel Paige used to say that he was so fast he was put out, getting hit by his own batted ball as he slid into second, and that he could turn the light out in his room and get into bed before it got dark.
Because Negro League stats are not particularly reliable, its hard to measure exactly how well he would have done in the Show at his peak, but its all but indisputable he would have been among the greats of his era.

Negro League legend, remembered for his incredible speed. Too old to make the majors when the game became desegregated, and it's hard to say just how he would've done there, but doubtlessly he'd have been a good major leaguer as well had baseball not had a shameful apartheid in those days.
