The set is amazing. One minute a character is walking on the water and the next an acrobat is diving into it. It reminded me of a Busbey Berkley production directed by Fellini. It is synchronized swimming offering mythic images. The cast is energetic, athletic and choreographed to perfection. All the classic elements, earth, fire, air and water are brought together. But, fundamentally, it is pointless. No tension, no drama, no suspense, no plot. The amazing becomes mundane. The clowns are annoying. The innocent boy character (planted in the audience and "pulled" into the show) keeps trying to give a red scarf to someone. What it represented to the giver or the intendend recepient remains a mystery. This show is a technical wonder but a dramatic dud.
