a pretty sad moment and I am sure caused some tears.did for me the first time i saw it. Vada's best pal 11 year old Thomas J. goes into the woods to retrieve a mood ring lost by Vada. he is attacked by a swarm of bees. thomas who is allergic to everything including bees, dies from the attack Vada's family runs a funeral home and the funeral is held there. she enters the room of the funeral and sobs over his casket. very sad scene about the loss of a friend at such a young age.
