I've a hard time believing we invented fried chicken, but the buttermilk battered version from the south is to die for. Often, it's too greasy for me. I don't like the fast food offerings.

The best is from a family-owned, small-town type of restaraunt.  But it you can't find a place like that who cooks it well, then your KFC's and Church's and Bojangles and what not are alright i guess.

Forget about all the carping that fried chicken is bad for you and just enjoy it.  I try to eat it at least once a month.

Fried chicken  can be real good cooked by someone who is a great cook. that would have been my "aunt Cleo" boy could she cook a great fried chicken dinner.  I am not so good at it myself. do not have very often hard to even find a place that offers really good cooked fried chicken. nice when I do though even if it isn't good for you. { alot of the foods I like are not LOL!}

Nothing wrong with fried chicken in moderation.

Deep fried or pan fried, its all good, especially the thighs.

This one of the reasons we are so unhealthy, take a food that is comparitively healthy and make it so it is totally unhealthy. Greasing cover in batter and it does not taste that good. Why would you eat some thing that is so bad for you, it makes burgers look like a health food.
